The Limiter

Select PreSonus Studio One 4 DAW Software

Select [Create a New Song]

Name it ‘Better Time Limiter’ , Click [three dots].

  1. Select [Desktop]
  2. Select [Home]
  3. Select [Select Folder]

Select [Ok]

Drag and drop Mix_Master_6.wav into the track view.

Click [View]. Click [Console]

Select [Effects]

Drag Limiter to the Master 2 track insert.

Select [Loud October] [Adjust 4 Knobs accordingly.]

Select [Mixdown]

This time the volume was not a problem, but if it was too loud, if it was distorting, the program would tell you and you would lower the master volume to -4db or -6db and try it again.

Use the same Mixdown folder we have always used. Name it Mix_Master_7. Click three dots to change folder.

Select [Desktop], Select [Home]

Select [Better Time]

  1. Select [Mixdown]
  2. Select [Select Folder]

Click [Ok]

  1. Go to the Mixdown folder
  2. [Right Click] Mixs_Master_7c.wav
  3. Select [Open with] [Cool Edit 2000]

This is Cool Edit Software; Audacity Software is free.

Normalize & Save as WAV & MP3.

Select [Transform] Select [Normalize]

Select [Save As]

Save As WAV file

Save As

Save As MP3

* The equalizer is used to turn down the bass drum. I would consider this a normal bass response, If you want more bass you can:

  1. Turn up the [Ntrack Equalizer] to a flat setting or more than flat.
  2. Turn up the [Low Contour] on the Sonic Maximizer
  3. Turn up the [Low Mix] on the Harmonic Maximizer
  4. Use A Equalizer after the recording on a free audio player like WinAmp.

Audio Files

Signal 1 => [EQ + Reverb + Chorus]

Signal 2 => Signal 1 + [Compressor]

Mix_Master_5 =>Signal 2 + [Stereo Sonic Maximizer]

Mix_Master_6 =>Mix_Master_5 + Harmonic Maximizer
